Santa Cruz Trek - Cordillera Blanca
Day 01:
|
Leaving Arequipa by private bus, we pass
through the Aguada Blanca Wildlife Preserve
where we see vicuñas, alpacas, llamas, and a variety
of Andean birds. We stop at the Mirador de los Andes
to view the surrounding mountains, then continue on to Chivay
where we spend the night. |
Day 02: |
We descend on foot for about 3 hours to the Oasis
of Sangalle, a tropical ecosystem. After enjoying
the thermal waters we will have lunch and then camp. |
Day 03: |
We begin the ascent to Cabanoconde (4
or 5 hours), continue on to Chivay, and return
to Arequipa .
