VOLCANO MISTI

Misti is a semi active volcano (smoking state) it has 5.852 m.a.s.l. and it is located to 17 km. In line straight to downtown. It is formed by a base of conical form called “ the skirts” and constituted by fines arenaceous of volcanic ashes. |

Day 1: |
Pich up from hotel.Early Departure from Arequipa . We go by the frontal part of the volcano.
The long walk begins to the 3.320 m.a.s.l. after of adaptation to the change of altitude.
Arrival to the base camp.
Arrival to the camping base Eagle Nest to 4.610 m.a.s.l, from this point is possible to appreciate the City, the sunset and landscapes.
Dinner and spends the night. |
Day 2: |
After eating breakfast, we will begin the ascent. Food on the way. Arrival to the summit at noon. Spectacular Sight of the Volcanic Mountain range of South of Peru. Sight to the monumental Iron Cross.
We take the way towards the crater, where we will observe the volcanic dome as well as the fumarolas.
Return towards the base camp, long walk towards transport to go back to the city.
